Compassion Wednesday

Welcome to the first ever Compassion Wednesday. This is where I will be posting about Compassion International. Compassion is a Christian child sponsorship organization dedicated to the long-term development of children living in poverty around the world. They function in 26 countries such as Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Haiti, Kenya, and India. They are currently helping over 1,200,000 children. (Thanks Wikipedia)

When you sponsor a child with Compassion (like I will be doing in November) you can change a child’s life. Your $38 dollars a month pays for food and clean water, medical care, education, and your child will get to hear about Jesus Christ.

Here’s a video from MercyMe about Compassion:

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. … Defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
- Proverbs 31:8-9

If your interested in sponsoring a child, please visit compassion.com. :)
