I’m Evan. I love God, Disney, and churros. I am the first of three kids and graduated from Charlotte High School on May 20th, 2010. I’m currently a member of D23. D23 is a club made just for Disney fans, like me. I enjoy listening to music from MercyMe, Third Day, Matthew West, Tenth Avenue North, Skillet, TobyMac, Sanctus Real, Casting Crowns and more. I enjoy going to concerts (okay.. extremely enjoy) to see my favorite bands.
From May 2005 – May 2008, I played Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom (or VMK for short). VMK was lots of fun. It was like going to a Disney Park every day – except virtually. I met lots of friends through VMK, some of who I still chat with today.
I love churros. My love of churros started back when VMK was open. Every week Yavn would post a column in the newsletter and would talk about new items and would sometimes mention how he wanted to get a churro, and then they released a churro pin. Then I decided I had to try one so one day we went to Downtown Disney and I had my first churro. I fell in love with them. After that, whenever I’d see a HOST or staff member in VMK, I’d give them a virtual churro and then be happy. Whenever they saw me they expected me to give them a virtual churro.
I have met a lot of my friends thanks to MercyMe. In the fall of 2008, after I saw them at Night of Joy for the first time, they had a live stream of their concert online with a chat. I chatted with people from around the world that night and now they broadcast their shows most nights for thier fall tours and for the Rock and Worship Roadshow. When MercyMe isn’t broadcasting their shows, we chat with each other on Facebook and Twitter.
